Colorado State University - Pueblo

Area

52,000 SF

The Center for Integrated Health and Human Inquiry was the most heavily used academic building on campus despite its technological and spatial limitations. Colorado State University–Pueblo sought to upgrade the building and its facilities to provide students and staff with welcoming, modern learning environments. Our design features expanded academic and support areas that accommodate projected enrollment growth and address existing limitations.

New classrooms and labs, breakout spaces, and group huddle areas create a collaborative and integrated space for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. A welcoming new entry enhances the Center for Integrated Health and Human Inquiry’s presence along the campus’ main circulation promenade.

The design-build project involved a 46,580-SF renovation of academic and support spaces and a new 5,250-SF addition. The transformed building houses departments of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nursing/Allied Health, as well as Student Counseling and Student Health Services. The renovation involves upgrades to building and technology systems that create a more comfortable learning environment for students and faculty. We provided architecture, interior design, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, IT/Telecom, and audiovisual services.
