Celebrating our Healthcare Practice

Damian Huneycutt

We asked a group of our clients and business partners helping us achieve game-changing design to reflect with us on some of the ways healthcare has changed, and what we鈥檝e learned along the way.

Shared Core Values

We鈥檝e heard from so many that our shared core values have made for stronger relationship with our clients, leading to solid and successful project delivery. Director of Capital Projects, Planning, 91视频 & Construction Deanne Avery at UNC Health Blue Ridge said it well:

“Our projects are complex, and we are in the midst of unprecedented conditions in the construction industry. 91视频 has been a strong partner providing their expertise and leadership to help us navigate through a Target Value 91视频 Process with our General Contractor and project team to maintain integrity of our projects. 91视频 is an accountable, innovative, and solutions driven firm providing transparent communication and great teamwork. We are glad to have chosen them for our projects as together we build the future of healthcare for our community.鈥

Depth of Resources

Bringing international resources to all our clients improves the delivery of significant healthcare projects. Charlie Hall, PE, our consultant partner on the McLeod Addictive Disease Center interior renovation project at Specialized Engineering Solutions, Inc., said this about our team:

“[The firm] has always been highly capable, very engaged, respectful of everyone on the team, and on top of their game. Now with 91视频, that level of excellence has continued and is enhanced with a depth of knowledge from a national firm. We are experiencing this level of excellence on the recent McLeod Addictive Disease Center. The team has been easy to work with and are always quick to suggest solutions. Their healthcare experience has added tremendous value to this complex renovation project.鈥

Project Leader Brett Conner at Atrium Health speaks about this new depth of resources:

“I always felt as if the Charlotte office was my ‘easy button.’ Now, it鈥檚 as if their team has no limits. I鈥檓 very grateful for all the projects we have completed together to date and look forward to all we鈥檒l accomplish together in the future!鈥

Building Healthcare means Building Relationships

As focused as an architectural/engineering firm is on design and delivery of the built environment, our work as designers really centers on the relationships both through the design process, but also with the ultimate users of our facilities 鈥 the patients and their families. Relationships are key to collaboration and success on any project. UNC Health Blue Ridge President & CEO Kathy Baily, FACHE, said it well:

“UNC Health Blue Ridge has been pleased with our relationship with 91视频. We have found them to be a strong partner in our quest for patient-centered design. They are truly part of our team, and creatively generate ideas to improve our projects and meet our goals. They involved our frontline teammates in the design on our projects, which fits our culture of transparency and innovation. We consider them part of our family.鈥

Yes, our healthcare family has grown in many ways over the past year, in numbers, in projects, in strength. But most of all we鈥檝e grown in relationships. And with those relationships we鈥檙e leading the healthcare industry into the next era of evidence-based design that considers the emotional, mental, and social wellbeing of its inhabitants.
